Be Your Own Success Story

What will make you an invincible success? What is currently preventing you from enjoying the success you crave? What are the keys to success and how can you best begin to employ these today and throughout the year ahead until your success is so sure it becomes your reality forever?

The crucial key is your inner attitude. How did you feel about your life when you were seventeen? Invincible? Unsure? Were you sure of your success in the years ahead or were you uncertain of your destiny? How do you feel now? Have the years been kind to you or has disaster struck? Regardless of what has happened to you lately I want you to prime your inner attitude. Focus inward on your strengths and determine to fill yourself anew with purpose, enthusiasm, resolution, and become dominant, determined, bold, strong, calm, vital, steadfast, self reliant, and full of vigorous energy. You can!

"It is never too late to be what you might have been," claimed the English author George Eliot. How can you turn your present situation around for success? Many are life's downward paths which lead to failure, yet you have only to turn about and walk back up towards victory! Step by step you turn about: Benjamin Franklin advised "Little strokes fell big oaks."

Perception is reality. Whatever your current perception of your situation, your self, your ability, this is your experience now. First perceive, then receive. Work now on your inner attitude: dwell upon your strengths, your convictions, your beliefs - and constantly recall your past successes: see yourself as a sure success! Know you want to become completely successful in all you do, and believe you can be. Recharge your inner attitude with positive energy by taking a little time out to go for a walk somewhere peaceful in the clear air. Put your soul into it! Walk vigorously, clear your mind. Shoulders back and feel strong!

Build your perception of who you can be. What do you want? Focus daily on this: are you aimed in the right direction? Taking the necessary steps to achieve what you want? Build level by level: a small success this week at work before the big house and fast car! Telephone a prospect you have been putting off. Stand tall and speak with firmness in your tone. Expect yes, expect the big order. Receive the big order! Be dominant. Act as though you have every confidence, just as you expect the bigshots at your workplace to act and speak. Act it out and become. Simple truths work: just act upon this. Build yourself new habits of determined action today onwards.

Habits are cobwebs at first, iron cables at last.

Be aware of the little daily actions you take which in time pin you down to specific behavioral patterns: are all your actions, thoughts and mannerisms primed towards the greatest success?

Good news is, you can establish new habits within seven days: just do something new each day for a week and it becomes swiftly part of your reality. Much easier to create new habits than to discard old so don't try to give up chocolate, just make a new habit of eating a healthy three meal diet with no snacking daily. You can easily replace the snacks with a glass of water, a short brisk walk, a banana, a motivational quote! Do successful folk snack? Or are they too busy feeling the incredible buzz of being their own success story? Commit yourself to projects you know are surefire winners with a definite reward at the end. Reward yourself for every small success, each good step forwards.

And when you are not working switch off the entertainment for now and educate yourself. Ebooks are free all over the internet if you search for them: you can learn a lot now for no financial output so there is no excuse! Learn what you love, learn what the successful people in your field know, always learn more. Knowledge pays dividends and opens your mind to endless creativity. W.B.Yeats, the poet, declared: "Education is not the filling of a pail but the lighting of a fire."

Set your inner fire ablaze and get ready to accomplish great things. Learn all you can. Be specific and organized. Spend no time on unviable projects and put even your leisure hours to effective use. Create a blog so your colleagues and superiors can see you are keen to develop new skills. Write about what you learn and ideas you have for improving your results at work. If your present employer does not take notice you can be sure the head hunters of more progressive firms will notice you!

Promote your blog through social media and get yourself some ebooks on enhancing visitor numbers to your blog: get more traffic! Learn some basic search engine optimization. Get your message out there into the wide world: you never know who is looking in. Build yourself, your inner perception of your worth, build your knowledge and creativity levels and work on your fitness, appearance, conversation, listening ability, your ability to effectively analyse information and your sense of logic. Be fair and be generous. Give freely. Seek wisdom. Believe in yourself as a true success! Let others know you are keen to improve and go further in your field of work. Offer your time.

Know what needs to be done each day and each week and focus only on this until it is done, then if you have time turn your attention to other useful tasks or prepare a plan for the week ahead. See what else you can accomplish of purpose. Ask!

After two weeks of building your inner attitude anew analyze how you now feel: more vigor? More boldness? Be strong! Be ready to change when the opportunity comes your way.

It is never too late to be what you might have been. Ignite your inner fire. Expect success. Be ready to embrace success. Be generous with your time and your assistance. The world wants persons who are prepared to do a little more than asked, who take the time, who go about the workplace as if they owned the company and care about the results. The world has a way of exalting such persons to positions of responsibility. Success.

Success. Expect it. Prepare for it. Learn. Grow. Enjoy success! You deserve to give yourself every opportunity so start today: supercharge your energy, declutter your home and office, focus on what really counts for you and aim high: let nothing defeat you as you build your inner resolve to succeed in all you do.

20 Things I Wish I Knew When I was 20

Success seems to be an elusive treasure for many. There are some many ways to attain it yet most of us get caught up trying to figure it all out ourselves. This leads to a great deal of lost time to gain the "experience" needed to be successful. Looking back, I wish someone had put together a list of hard facts that were true in life. Since it was not done for me, I would like to share my list of success "truths".

1. Success is easier with a team:

Success is not created in a vacuum. It takes the efforts of many people to make one achieve anything great. The most successful people have partners, coaches, teammates, and co-workers who all have a hand in the final outcome. Also, our the level of success that is possible increase substantially when we enlist the abilities and efforts of others. As Marc Victor Hanson likes to say "one plus one is an eleven folding of talent". Create a team with the best people that you can.

2. Opportunities are everywhere:

Everywhere there is a problem, there is an opportunity. The world is full of challenges that are waiting to be solved. As we proceed forward, now obstacles are created daily. Huge fortunes are being made by people taking the initiative to solve these problems. Society needs someone to build a better "mousetrap" and that person is you. Look for the opportunities in your life that are offered to you.

3. You get more in life by saying "yes" than by saying "no":

This is one of Richard Branson's sayings. Fear is a powerful influence in life. It causes us to make decisions that are not always in our best interest. Often we turn down opportunities which will raise our lives to a new level. Saying "yes" to life allows us to engage in the wonders of it. There is more that is gained by going forward then by standing still. Certainly we will lose at times. But overcoming the fear of loss is what will set us free. Begin to say "yes" to the opportunities that are presented in your life.

4. Like attracts like:

Physics talks about energy on the same frequency being attracted to similar energy. This is true for our outlook. Positive attitudes garner positive results. Negative attitudes create gets the same outcome. To get more positive results in life, spend more time with a positive attitude. This will attract the desired results into your life.

5. The path to success is already laid out:

Reinventing the wheel is a waste of time. Unlike we were taught in school, copying is a good thing. People have already paved the road to success. Simply learn the actions and procedures they took while following suit. Every industry has a model that sets the process for achievement. Life becomes much simpler when that is uncovered.

6. Have fun:

It is easy to get caught up in all that we have to do. Responsibilities mount the more success we achieve. It is important to have fun at every stage of life. Too often people delay their joy until they arrive at a specific destination. Taking the time for ourselves is crucial as holistic selves. Lighten up and take things a little less seriously.

7. Work smarter, not harder:

Digging ditches is hard work yet it is not a well compensated trade. The world pays more for mental power than it does physical. Try to determine ways to systematize the things you need to do to free up yourself. The nobility is in working smarter, not harder.

8. Things do not equal happiness:

The richest are not always the happiest. The accumulation of things is wonderful. However, it is imperative that we keep in mind what is important. The happiness that "things" give us is temporary. Happiness is a state that comes from within us; it rarely comes from the outside.

9. Who cares about the Joneses:

How much time do we spend trying to "keep up with the Joneses"? Our egos are often tied to the opinion of others. Be your own person. Ignore what others think about you. It is best to pursue endeavors which fulfill us. Too many attend to those things that other people want them to. Live your life according to how you see fit.

10. There is always something to be grateful for:

No matter how bad things are in your life, there is always something to be grateful for. Gratitude is a wonderful tool for getting us out of the doldrums. Looking at the positive aspect of situations will always help bring the undesirable effects to an end quicker. Remember, there is always someone else who is worse off than you.

11. Everyone has their time in the "barrel":

To listen to people talk, you would think that they were the only ones with problems. The truth is that everyone has circumstances which they go through that are not pleasant. Illness, financial difficulty, and death affect most people at different stages of their lives. Resist the temptation to think that you are special in this regard. When negative circumstances arise, move forward knowing others are succeeding in dealing with similar issues.

12. Plan your life and live your plan:

I love the analogy to taking a trip across country without a road map. This is something that most would never consider doing. Yet almost all will approach their life without a forethought to where they would like to go. In fact, people spend more time planning their vacations than they do to plan their lives. Studies have shown that individuals who set down goals with a written plan for their achievement attain a far greater degree of success than those who fail to do so.

13. Failure is our best teacher:

Failure is a tough thing to go through. However, it can be our most beneficial experience. Successful people all seem to have had their share of failures. It is the lessons from these situation which makes them so valuable. Take the time to analyze why things turned out how they did and resolve not to make the same mistake. This is where life prepares us for the next challenge.

14. Most people are willing to help:

We feel we need to do it all on our own. This stems from the belief that most people don't care. The truth is that most people are willing to help wherever they can. People, at their basic core, are nice. They want to contribute. It makes us feel good to help another. Rid yourself of the desire to do it all on your own and ask others for help. You will be surprised at the warm response you get.

15. The starting point is irrelevant:

There are hundreds of stories of people who started from the worst circumstances only to achieve greatness. Individuals who blame their surroundings for their lack of success are using this as a crutch. There are opportunities in all areas of life for those who are willing to go after them. It is where you are going that is important, not where you start from.

16. Everything starts as a thought:

There is nothing that mankind has made in this world that did not start as an idea in someone's head. Everyday, we each have ideas which are mostly dismissed. Capturing one of those ideas can change how the world operates. Also, having the right mindset will do more to ensure our success than any other attribute. Pay attention to what takes place within your own head.

17. We all have more talents than we can uncover:

Everyone on this planet is created with an incredible amount of ability. Yet we often believe that we "can't do anything right". This is negative conditioning allowed to ruin our lives. There is an unbelievable skill within you at this present moment. Beginning to say "yes" to opportunities in life will uncover what those talents are. Often we do not realize what we are capable of until we are forced into a tough situation.

18. Everything is perspective:

Even though you will swear it to be the truth, it is really only your perspective. Our viewpoint is usually what determines how we process things. Is the glass half full or half empty? Both answers are correct, depending on your perspective. Remember this whenever you are determined to make yourself right and someone else wrong.

19. Tap into your true self:

Some call it passion, others life purpose. Whatever the term, there is something in life that only you can perform. Spend some time seeking out what it is. All greatness comes from this place. Do not worry about the financial compensation. People who tap into their true essence while releasing their talents on the world are well paid. Find out what it is and follow it.

20. You can make a huge difference:

There is no limit to the impact that you can have. Many of the greatest figures in history were from the humblest of beginnings. They were average people who took extraordinary action when called upon. You can do the same thing. The ideas that you have right now can impact thousands, if not, millions of lives. Begin to accept this as your reality.

Here is the list of ideas which I feel will lead anyone to success. See how many you can implement into your life on a daily basis. People who have done so report an incredible increase in their success, happiness, productivity, and freedom.

The Art of Becoming Unstoppable

As a business owner, I have discovered something quite remarkable over the course of the past thirty years. What I have realized is that absolutely no obstacle is ever too great for people who possess an unstoppable spirit.

People with an unstoppable spirit keep their focus on their hopes for the future rather than dwelling on grievances of the past. In fact, I have noticed that the one common link among people that I consider unstoppable is that they have all struggled, have all tripped and stumbled, and have all experienced setbacks and failures. Yet they pulled themselves up and kept going. Their dreams demanded their all, and they gave it. And with each trial, they emerged stronger, more sure, and more deserving of attaining their dreams and goals.

You see, the size of the goal really is not what constitutes an unstoppable spirit. I believe that an unstoppable spirit is actually personified in anyone who identifies a goal and refuses to give up until that goal is achieved.

I have noticed that there are seven basic characteristics that can be found in every unstoppable person:

They devote themselves to their true purpose.
They follow their heart's passion.
They believe in themselves and their ideas.
They prepare for challenges.
They ask for help and build a support team.
They seek creative solutions.
They persevere, regardless of the challenges they face.

Pursue Your Purpose

Having a purpose can ignite your spirit and provide personal meaning as well as deep satisfaction in your life. Purpose provides the answer to why you are here and directs you toward your own special calling. Purpose fuels your efforts and gives you the drive to continue, no matter what the challenges.

As you encounter challenges on your journey toward accomplishing your goals, stay focused on your purpose. Make the conscious decision to remain determined to deal with whatever comes your way.

As you move forward with persistence, your sense of purpose will likely inspire others. In fact, your actions may well inspire others to the point that they decide to join you on the path to becoming unstoppable. Now you are not only moving toward the greatness for which you were created, you are also changing the lives of others.

Remember, the ripple of unstoppable determination and inspiration which you began can expand and touch something deep within the spirit of others, igniting their dreams, passions and goals.

Ignite Your Passion

I have found that only passion can inspire and motivate your soul to accomplish great things. Many of us are afraid to follow our passions and pursue what we want most because that means taking risks and facing possible failure. What you must realize, however, is that to pursue your passion with all your heart and soul means that you have already succeeded. The greatest failure in life is to have never really tried.

If you want to achieve great things in your life, you must be willing to take risks.

Passion creates an amazing supply of positive energy, not just for the exciting beginning but also for the entire journey. When you love what you do, you have the energy to overcome any obstacle. You will find that passion is the fuel that drives you onward toward achieving your purpose. It can also inspire and enlist the support of others.

Actively Believe In Yourself

Belief in yourself and your ability to achieve your goals are prerequisites to becoming unstoppable. When your belief system in unshakable, you can transform your purpose and your goals into physical realities. In other words, your actions reflect your beliefs.

Literally, it is what you do that demonstrates what you believe. So begin your journey toward greatness by writing down one action you can take immediately that will put your dreams into motion - even if it is just a small step toward your goals. That one small step will communicate the message that you believe in yourself and your dreams.

Follow Your Dream With Persistence

Remember that pursuing your goals will be a constantly evolving process. No one who has ever followed a dream has taken a direct, unobstructed path to arrive at his or her destination effortlessly and on time. Following a dream is not a direct highway, but rather a bumpy road full of twists, turns, and the occasional roadblock.

Because of the "instant gratification" society in which we live, a great number of people lack the patience and persistence necessary to achieve their goals. However, in order to discover the true art of becoming unstoppable, you must take responsibility for your life and your future.

This journey toward becoming unstoppable requires that you be flexible, creative, and persistent. I advise you to look ahead and envision the goal you ultimately want to achieve. Keep this goal in front of you and you will never lose your way.

By refusing to allow any circumstance, no matter how formidable, to become an excuse for failure, you can create your own legacy of greatness ... a legacy of unstoppable success.

Ten Secrets of Success From Solomon

Proverbs, a book of the Old Testament, was compiled by King Solomon almost 3,000 years ago. Nonetheless, this monarch's secrets remain as relevant and practical as when first penned. This is not surprising. Human nature has not changed in the intervening millennia.

The third chapter of Proverbs, which was written to stand alone, gives ten secrets of success. The first seven secrets and the last each come with a promise, showing what can be expected (as a rule of thumb) when its admonition is followed. In this article, I have adapted those secrets as business advice.

Secret 1: Keep the law; you'll get more out of your day, live longer, and have greater peace.

We are moral beings. Living by moral principles makes business more straightforward, keeps our footing secure and shields us from a good deal of worry, heartache, and disgrace. When we are doing what is right, we can concentrate more on the issues at hand than when we are distracted by negatives such as the fear of discovery. (Rule 1 is based on Proverbs 3:1,2)

Secret 2: Be kind and honest; then you will find favor with God and men.

Most of us appreciate the person who gives us an encouraging word, stands with us when we make a mistake, and doesn't throw the book at us. We appreciate those who don't hog our credit. And we appreciate those who keep their word. A study showed that one of the few characteristics that the majority of self-made millionaires have in common is that they keep their word. (Based on Proverbs 3:3,4)

Secret 3: Trust completely in God; you'll find direction and be a lot healthier.

None of us can see the end from the beginning. But those who trust in God need not fret when business undergoes a reverse. They don't kill themselves if the stock market plunges or a factory burns down. They believe God will ultimately bring good out of such events. Quite simply put, if we look to God in our business dealings, he guides us, even if we don't realize it at the time. Knowing this helps us to overcome serious reverses. Read the lives of Cyrus McCormick, John Wanamaker, or Lewis B. Tappan if you doubt this. Studies have shown that those who consider themselves believers lead happier lives over all. (Based on Proverbs 3:5-8)

Secret 4: Be generous toward God and people; you'll have more to show for it.

Solomon recognized that those who honor God first out of whatever they acquire (which includes giving to true charities), tend to prosper. One reason may be mental health. People who feel grateful tend to be happier. People who share with others have a pleasure misers can never know. Also, when we give, we are forced to think more carefully how to employ what we have left. This makes us better managers. (Based on Proverbs 3:9-10)

Secret 5: Accept correction; it is a sign God loves you.

We need to learn from our mistakes. In my own life, rebuke has often been my best teacher. If God thinks you are salvageable, he will correct you. (Based on Proverbs 3:11-12)

Secret 6: Learn the principles and science behind your business; you'll make fewer mistakes, have better grounds for your decisions, and sleep easier.

Solomon wrapped his sixth secret of success inside words of praise for wisdom. The fact is, we should learn the science and sound principles behind whatever business we engage in. The laws of economics cannot be flouted with impunity any more than the laws of aerodynamics. (Based on Proverbs 3:13-24)

Secret 7: Stay calm during crisis; trust the Lord instead, and your foot won't slip.

Kipling wrote a poem which begins and ends like this:
If you can keep your head when all about you Are losing theirs and blaming it on you...
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it, And - which is more - you'll be a Man my son!
His poem is an appropriate commentary on Solomon's seventh secret. (Based on Proverbs 3:25,26)

Secret 8: Pay in a timely fashion.

No one appreciates being told the check is in the mail when it isn't. Pay your employees and creditors in a timely fashion if there is any possible way to do so. It gains you the respect and confidence of those you deal with. (Based on Proverbs 3:27,28)

Secret 9: Tolerate Competition.

Do you remember the days of gas wars, when stations tried to drive each other out of business by undercutting their prices? In Southeast Asia, gangs killed competitors in franchise wars between similar products. This is a poor business model. Today we know that if you put two pharmacies or two grocery stores on a corner, both will usually do better than either one alone. Competition is good for those who work hard and use innovative methods to hold the highest standards against competitors. (Based on Proverbs 3:29,30)

Secret 10:

Engage in fair business practices; then you'll have the Lord on your side.

Any kind of coercive business dealing, whether by a corporation, mob, labor union, guild, or government, hurts the economy as a whole. When Spain expelled its Jews, its economy collapsed. When Acorn harassed bankers who would not give mortgage loans to those who could not repay, it contributed to a situation in which the housing market collapsed and the United States went into an economic meltdown. On a smaller scale, businesses which trick people into signing documents, or who offer sneaky fine print, lose credibility. There are web sites I visited once but won't visit again because they tricked me with pre-checked subscription buttons. These are all forms of coercion. Deal openly and fairly. The long-term benefits go far beyond anything in this world. As Solomon put it, the Lord's curse is in the house of the wicked: but he blesses the habitation of the just. "Surely he scorns the scorners: but he gives grace to the humble. The wise shall inherit glory: but shame shall be the promotion of fools." (Based on Proverbs 3:31-35)

The 10 Priciples of Success

Many believe that success is for a chosen few who have been marked for greatness by destiny. That is not true. Success can be a part of everyone's life, if they understood the 10 principles of success.

Success is not a matter of fate or destiny and neither does it come to you by chance. You need to work towards it and drag it into your life. It's very rare that to find success looking for you. More often than not, you need to chase it down and make it yours.
So, what are the ten principles of success? Take a look.

1. Be Consistent

If you notice a lot of successful people, you are bound to notice some common traits in them. Adopt those traits and maintain them consistently.

2. Have a Vision

It is important to have a vision and know very clearly what it is you want from life. If you are not sure, or the picture in your head is hazy, you can forget about achieving anything.

3. Make an Action Plan

Knowing what you want is one thing, and knowing how to get it is something else. Organize your ideas and make a strategy for yourself.

4. Believe in Yourself

If you don't believe you can achieve it, you will never be able to convince others of your vision. Never doubt yourself. Tell yourself again and again that you will succeed.

5. Take Responsibility

Take responsibility for your actions, for the consequences of those actions, for your future, for your decisions, and for your life. No matter how many times you fail, get up and start again. Don't let failures decide the course of your life. Treat them as a stepping stone to success and persevere.

7. Make your Goals SMART

Your goal should be Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, and Time Bound. These are the essentials of a workable goal.

8. Continue Learning

Never stop learning. Learning means growth. When you stop learning, you stop growing. If you stop growing, you will die. And dead people can never be successful.

9. Do Not Shirk from Asking for Help

There is no shame in seeking help and guidance from people. It would be shameful if you let something like false pride stand in the way of attaining success.

10. Be an Asset to People around You

Unless you add value to the society in some form or manner, you are not going to be successful.
Hopefully, these 10 principles of success will help guide yo
u in your quest for that which you seek with all your heart.

The Genesis of Success - How Success is Achieved

You can read hundreds of success stories and the scenarios are always the same. The names change, the details are all different but the road that leads to success is always the same. There is only one and there are no shortcuts.

It all starts with having a very clear and definite outcome. Sylvester Stallone knew his outcome. He wanted to be a movie star. Donald Trump knew his outcome. He wanted the number one real estate developer. Arnold Schwarzenegger knew his outcome, he wanted to be the number one bodybuilder then become a movie star.

These are only three examples but we could cite thousands of success stories and they all start with a definite purpose - a clear outcome. We cannot achieve a goal that we don't have or reach a destination that is not known.

The path to success begins with a clear and precise objective, a definite goal, a very specific outcome. This point could never be stressed enough. People dream of success, they dream of achieving great deeds yet, they don't even have a clue as to what it is that they want to do.
Once the outcome is clearly defined, a plan or a strategy has to be established. As Sun Tsu writes in The Art of War, "Every battle is won or lost before it is ever fought." The same rule applies to goals and objectives seeking.

The game is won in the strategy room where the plans are made. The plan is the map that will lead to the objective. It is one of the most important tools in goal achieving yet it is also the most neglected.

People will spend more time planning a two weeks vacation than they will on planning an entire life. The we'll-see-as-we-go attitude is not good enough. No head of corporation, army general of head of state would ever dream of wigging it by ear and neither should we. A well thought off plan is absolutely necessary.

Once we have defined the objective and mapped out a plan, the crucial part comes in and that is massive action. This is truly the decisive part. This is where success or failure is spelled out. This is what separates the winners from the could-have-been.

Massive action implies exactly what the term says. People who have attained huge success are known to work long hours. They are dedicated, involved, passionate, focused, committed and determined.

There is a price to pay for achievement. That's a lesson that has not caught on. Instead of taking massive action, most people are looking for the secret formula that will perform miracles. Read the biography of every single successful person and that secret formula is nowhere to be found. It cannot be found for the simple reason that it does not exists.

The story of success is the story of hard work. No matter how talented or how charismatic a person is success requires work. So much work in fact that unless that work becomes a passionate game, chances are very slim that anyone could overcome the challenge.

The way to succeed is not all that complicated and it is certainly no secret. It requires a definite objective, a workable plan and a lot of hard work. That's how it's been done since the dawn of time and it does not look as if it's about to change.

7 Proven Habits of Success

If you are looking for ways how you can become more successful in your life and achieve greater results, this will be the right place for you because you are about to discover the proven 7 habits for success. If you want to be highly successful, you must first adopt the habits of success. It is your habits that will determine the decision you make and the action that you take in your life. Therefore, you must adopt the 7 habits for success in your life...

1. You must adopt the habit of responsibility. Everything that happens to you is because of your choice and what you did in your life. It is today's decision that will determine tomorrow's results. You must be responsible for everything you do in your life. You cannot change what has happened, but you can take the responsibility and change your reaction, thus, change your results and your life.

2. One of the most important 7 habits for success is that you must be willing to learn. The moment you stop to learn, you stop to grow. Every successful person is a person that commits to never-ending improvement. Rise 30 minutes earlier and read something related to your field if you want to be the top 5% in your industry. This is what separates you from the masses.

3. Next, you must practice the habit of putting in 100% commitment in everything you do in your life. Are you willing to sacrifice your movie time? Are you willing to stay up late just to get your work done? This is the commitment you must be willing to put in if you are serious to achieve what you want in your life. Success is never easy but it is never complicated. As long as you are willing to put in 100% commitment into your dreams and your goals, you will eventually achieve them.

4. Believe in yourself and have faith is another habit that successful people possess. It is impossible for you to achieve what you want if you do not believe that you can achieve it. When you believe that you are able to do it, you will automatically tap into the full potential of yourself and everything will seem possible for you. This is the secret behind every successful person. Believe it and you will achieve it.

5. Of all the 7 habits for success, this is the most powerful; you must visualize what you want everyday. Visualization will inspire you and keep you going on in your life. The only difference between a successful person and an ordinary person is that successful person thinks about what he wants most of the time. Successful people think, dream, talk, and visualize what they want all the time. Can you do this?

6. Another important habit that you must adopt in order to be successful is this, you must be willing to venture out of your comfort zone and dare to change. Many people live a mediocre life because they are afraid of doing things differently. This is not what a successful person will do. You must be willing to change and get out of your comfort zone, do the things that you believe in and you will someday make your dreams come true.

7. Finally, you must adopt the habit of thinking positively all the time. No matter what happens to you or how bad the situation is, always think positively. It is just like what Dr. Robert Schuller says, "Tough times never last but tough people do." When you are facing difficulties, treat them as challenges and opportunities to grow yourself.

These are the top proven 7 habits for success. If you are serious in becoming successful in your life and you want to achieve your dreams, you must follow through and adopt these habits into your life.

Success Through Small Percentages

Now what if I told you that for every 100 things you did, only two of them would be a success. I probably don't have your attention anymore and there is no inspiration, why should you even continue to read this article. Failure is the part of life that has no glory, success on the other hand provides people with money, satisfaction and further inspiration.

If you could only succeed 2% of the time, this could actually be enough to create a financial empire beyond anything you could have ever possibly dreamed of. Now do I got your attention again. Let me give you an example of what I'm talking about.

You start with something that's not expensive or complicated and most people can obtain the knowledge easily. You become a real estate agent and for every 100 people that you meet with, you sell two homes. Each one of these homes is worth $500,000 and you get a 3% sales commission. That's $15,000 each, is this going to inspire you to find your next 100 people or even figure out a way to increase the percentage from 2% to 4%. Sometimes small percentages can lead to big profits.

Would you try to sell homes that were worth more money. 3% sales commission on a $2 million house would be $60,000. You've just quadrupled your income. Now were getting somewhere with a small percentages.

Success every once in a while, comes in large numbers, large percentages with unbelievable inventories, but sometimes we have to make our way through the tough times with low percentages and small inventories. If you are writing books, and came up with one best-selling book from your first 50 books written, this could provide you with millions of dollars in income for the rest of your life.

The problem was small percentages, is that it takes too much effort to become successful. Most people want success, fast, when they write their first book or meet their first client looking for a home, they can become discouraged and never attempt to try again. Don't let this happen to you, keep pursuing your passion and reap the rewards.

Mastermind Effect

According to Napoleon Hill the "Master Mind" can be defined as "Coordination of knowledge and effort, in a spirit of harmony, between two or more people, for the attainment of a definite purpose". When I first began my seemingly endless search for the "right"answers to grow my business it seemed like there were obstacles onevery corner. I was plagued by indecision, procrastination, fear of taking risks, "bright shiny object syndrome", lack of money, lack of knowledge and so on. Being alone day in and day out allowed me to create all kinds of thoughts in my head that served no purpose. Sure, I was working like a dog, marketing like crazy but I didn't have anyinteraction with people who were going through the same types of things I was. Until I found a mastermind group. The idea of masterminding has been around for a hundred years andit's long been touted as one of the single best ways to see rapid success in your life. Why? Because the collective knowledge, expertise, ideas and encouragement of the many is far more powerful than the mind of one.

4 Benefits of Mastermind Groups

Specialized Knowledge

No one person knows it all, which is one of the most common reasonspeople fall short of their goal, or choose not to take chances. People believe they don't have the knowledge or required education toget where they want to be. The fact is, no successful individual hasbecome successful because he/she knew everything. Napoleon Hill talks about this at great length in Think and Grow Rich in the chapter on Specialized Knowledge. The most successful people are not the oneswho know how to do everything but the ones who know how to get peopleto do for them what they don't know. So, in a mastermind people are able to leverage the knowledge and strengths of everyone around them to move forward more quickly toward their own goals.

Definiteness of Purpose

Definiteness of purpose is a key to your success. If you do not knowwith absolute certainty what you want, you will never reach the levelof success that is possible. Mastermind groups offer knowledge, information, and direction. Members help you stay on track, call youout when you are not doing what you say you are going to do andgenerally serve as the more rational voice inside you to keep youreye on the prize. Do not underestimate the power of this.

Unlimited Experience

An individual who is trying to develop a strategy to grow her business for the first time has a high probability of failure becauseshe has finite experience. She has only what she currently knows toguide her. However, the mastermind group has infinite experience. It has years of combined experience, knowledge and insight you can drawfrom to accelerate your learning curve.

Group Energy

Many entrepreneurs struggle because they don't have consistentinteraction with their peers on a daily basis. They may work withclients and attend events a few times a month but working inisolation can be dangerous. Having a mastermind group that you arepart of on a weekly basis can keep you connected, help you to seethat your struggles are not unique, and that you can have outrageoussuccess even if your stumble once in a while. Mastermind groups keepus honest, keep us on track and encourage us to do more and be more.

Finding a Good Mastermind Group

I have been in some mastermind groups that were fantastic and othersthat were completely useless. Here are a few things I have learnedwhen it comes to choosing the right mastermind situation or leavingone that's not working.

1. The energy of the group has to be good. If the chemistry is wrong,if someone is always trying to dominate or you dread getting on thecall, you're in the wrong place. It can be a challenge to get a grouptogether that really clicks but it's certainly possible so don'tsettle.

2. The mastermind has to define its own rules. There have to be rulesthat everyone in the group agrees to such as how it will bestructured, rules for speaking, confidentiality, and attendance. A mastermind group where people rarely show up, don't engage, comeunprepared, and take the confidentiality part too loosely are toxic.Look for a group that is organized, requires attendance and has asolid structure. It will make it so much more successful for all involved.

3. The ultimate goal has to be the same for all. Each person willhave a specific goal of joining the mastermind but the collectivegoal of the group should be to help each individual member achievetheir goals and reach the level of success they desire. When thatbigger picture is kept in mind, everyone wins.

How do you find one to join? There are so many opportunities these days to join mastermind groups. They range in price from free (you could put your own together) tohundreds of thousands of dollars for high end groups. I recommendjust doing some research. In fact, you may find that your mentor hasa continuity program with a mastermind component to it. The key is to just find the right spot for you and don't give up until you do. Like mentoring, mastermind groups can have a profound impact on yoursuccess and even more importantly, how quickly you achieve it.

Achieving Your Dreams

Achieving Your Dreams by Jim Rohn

While most people spend most of their lives struggling to earn a living, a much smaller number seem to have everything going their way. Instead of just earning a living, the smaller group is busily working at building and enjoying a fortune. Everything just seems to work out for them. And here sits the much larger group, wondering how life can be so unfair, so complicated and unjust. What's the major difference between the little group with so much and the larger group with so little?

Despite all of the factors that affect our lives - like the kind of parents we have, the schools we attended, the part of the country we grew up in - none has as much potential power for affecting our futures as our ability to dream.

Dreams are a projection of the kind of life you want to lead. Dreams can drive you. Dreams can make you skip over obstacles. When you allow your dreams to pull you, they unleash a creative force that can overpower any obstacle in your path. To unleash this power, though, your dreams must be well defined. A fuzzy future has little pulling power. Well-defined dreams are not fuzzy. Wishes are fuzzy. To really achieve your dreams, to really have your future plans pull you forward, your dreams must be vivid.

If you've ever hiked a fourteen thousand-foot peak in the Rocky Mountains, one thought has surely come to mind "How did the settlers of this country do it?" How did they get from the East Coast to the West Coast? Carrying one day's supply of food and water is hard enough. Can you imagine hauling all of your worldly goods with you... mile after mile, day after day, month after month? These people had big dreams. They had ambition. They didn't focus on the hardship of getting up the mountain.

In their minds, they were already on the other side – their bodies just hadn't gotten them there yet! Despite all of their pains and struggles, all of the births and deaths along the way, those who made it to the other side had a single vision: to reach the land of continuous sunshine and extraordinary wealth. To start over where anything and everything was possible. Their dreams were stronger than the obstacles in their way.

You've got to be a dreamer. You've got to envision the future. You've got to see California while you're climbing fourteen thousand-foot peaks. You've got to see the finish line while you're running the race. You've got to hear the cheers when you're in the middle of a monster project. And you've got to be willing to put yourself through the paces of doing the uncomfortable until it becomes comfortable and until you realize your dreams.
To Your Success,
Jim Rohn

Four Mind Control Secrets for Success

Mind control tricks often conjure negative images of people who achieve their goals at the expense of others through the use of techniques such as hypnosis. Such a judgment of mind control tricks is in many cases a sweeping statement and is untrue. In any case, the mind is an extremely powerful tool. According to Einstein, most human being use no more than 10% of his or her brain at any point in time throughout his or her lifetime. In this respect, mind control tricks can be used to develop success for you in life by allowing you to gain control and make better use of that unutilized 90% of your brain.
One of the most popular mind control tricks would be self hypnosis. This method of hypnosis is used to reprogram the brain with the subconscious mind and should be done positively to generate positive affirmations towards your subconscious mind. What we mean here is to make use of positive thoughts and emotions in order to program your subconscious mind in positive ways. This could be done through either a home-made hypnosis method or the purchase of a hypnosis CD available on the internet. For the former, relaxation and focus is the key as you speak and write positive affirmations in present tense. For the latter, follow the instructions in the CD. Generally it is recommended that you listen to such CDs in a relaxing environment which would allow you to keep your full attention on the hypnosis process.
Another helpful trick that is suitable especially for people who have plenty to remember in their day to day activities would be the use of mnemonics. This is a useful technique of memory retention and can take the form of either pictures, words or other similar associations. Using the first alphabet of each task to form a word can also be done for people who have many things to remember. Such methods are vital when you are caught with a situation where you do not have the ability to jot down the numerous tasks awaiting you.
A third way of controlling your mind to allow you to achieve more in your life would be through the use of visualizations. Instead of sitting there and whining at the job, relax and feel yourself go through the entire process of the job right up to the stage of completion. Savor the satisfaction when you get the job done. Your visualization should be done in great detail including the materials and people whom you will need to get the job done. Thereafter, sit up and do the job the way you did it in your mind. You will find that doing the job is no longer as painful as before. At the same time, your visualization of success will only align your subconscious mind towards this direction. The resultant effect would be that your conscious mind takes the necessary actions that will get you to success.
Lastly, it would be a good idea to identify thoughts that distract you. Distracting thoughts often have the tendency to disrupt control of your mind. Getting rid of such thoughts would allow you to work on your subconscious mind in positive ways allowing you to get more in life.
Contrary to what most believe, mind control tricks are by no means mere evil tools used by people who want to manipulate others. When used correctly, it can be a powerful self-help tool for greater success in life.

Things You Can Do Right Now to Achieve Success

There is a lot of talk today about "the Secret" which has led to a great discussion about success in general. People often don't realize that "the Secret" was just meant as an introduction to the "Law of Attraction" and as such left out a lot of information. Many people are trying to fill in that gap. Here are some success principles that I have found useful in my life. Hopefully they will be helpful to you too.
1) Never complain, or blame anything. When you complain you are making yourself into a victim. You are effectively saying that you are helpless and can't do anything about the situation. You are also focusing on what is wrong with your life. Since, as many authors have pointed out "what you focus on expands", this means that you are actually attracting bad situations into your life because you are focusing on what you don't like. You are also convincing yourself that you are powerless to do anything about it. That's not a good situation to be in. When you blame someone or something for what has happened to you, you are again making yourself into a powerless victim. You give any control over your situation to the person or thing you are blaming. That's not a good place to be in either. You need to know that you can change your future and then take responsibility for your life.
2) Know who you are. You probably think you already know who you are, but do you know what you really want to achieve in life. Most people don't know what they really want. I didn't. Likewise, most people couldn't tell you all their strengths and weaknesses. Life happens to people, and they're so busy coping with it that they never really sit down and ask themselves what they really want, and what personal resources they can utilize in order to get it. If you don't know what you want, it will be pretty difficult for you to achieve it. To achieve anything, you must have a clear goal. If you don't know where you are going, you probably won't arrive, and even if you do you won't know it.
3) Believe in yourself. The single biggest thing that prevents people from being successful is fear. They think they won't be able to achieve success, or if they do that they won't be able to handle it. They give up before they even get started. As several teachers have pointed out, however, we really are children of God, and we can achieve anything we want to. It is our fearful, doubting, ego that gets in our way, making us see ourselves as being "poor me". It is our ego that reminds us of all the times in the past that we have failed (exaggerating our failures), and forgets or trivializes all the times that we have succeeded. You need to start focusing on your strengths and all your past successes, and gain confidence from those. You need to talk back to your mind when it starts reminding you about how difficult success is, and why you will fail.
4) Take action. Many people decide on a goal and then research it and try to find out everything that could possibly happen if they start trying to achieve it. They spend so much time researching that by the time they are ready to do something, the window of opportunity has already passed by. A much better plan is to get as ready as you can in as short a time as possible, take action, and have faith that you can correct along the way as needed. Just get started with whatever you've got from wherever you are.
5) Create successful relationships. The first thing you want to do is to eliminate negative, complaining people from your life as much as possible. You want to spend your time around successful supportive people, so that you can learn from them, and also be motivated by them. Since you can't learn from someone you don't like, you need to practice admiring successful people instead of being jealous and resentful of them. You don't want to bring them down to your level, you want to bring yourself up to their level. Try to create a way to get together with rich successful people and maybe become personal friends with them. As they say "it's not what you know, it's who you know".
If you take action to follow these five principles, you should be well on your way. Good luck.

Is Your Personal Comfort Zone Holding You Back?

Recently a start-up social marketing Silicon Valley executive was quoted as saying "If you are comfortable when you launch your site you waited too late."
In other words, if one felt comfortable then this secure, comfortable feeling was an indication that one had fallen behind the innovation curve, a detriment to success. The implication was that innovation is inherently a tenuous and uncertain thing and that making it into a 'comfort' thing is very bad strategy.
Theodore Roosevelt called the comfort zone the "the Gray Twilight" and those that dwelt there "poor spirits". They neither enjoyed much nor suffered much and in fact in his opinion they didn't really live very much either.
If we look back to the origins of social psychology and evolutionary psychology we quickly learn that never were our ancestors in a so-called comfort zone. Life was tough and a daily struggle for survival. That doesn't mean there was never time to relax and enjoy...just not much time.
The most recent human evolution theories speculate that human gene mutations occurred 50,000 and a million years ago. These mutations were important because they increased the size of the brain and cranial capacity.
The 'purpose' of these mutations was to give our human team the survival edge; being able to think has distinct evolutionary advantages.
The ability to think gave both the individual and the tribe the edge. When things got difficult the thinking brain could figure out ways to find a solution.
Our noble cousins the apes and chimpanzees could not do that or at least do it on our level. That's why our monkey-looking ancestors are called hominid and those "other animals" are called apes.
The net result is one species is in the zoo and the other on the outside looking in.
The hard truth is we are not wired for comfort. We are wired for challenge and contrast. Maybe feeling "comfortable in one's own skin" is not how we are wired. Can our very own self-certainty be holding us back?
Are we mistaking self-confidence for a free and inquiring mind? Is a free and inquiring mind, arguably our evolutionary advantage, inherently uncomfortable?
Can routine achievement and success leave one in a comfort zone that dampens both potential and true innovation? Are free, inquiring and open minds threatened by social norms and conformity? Do the comfort zones of achievement and success actually prevent further achievement and success?
Does the establishment of our comfort zone make us averse to any risk that threatens our hard earned comfort zone? Is that the real reason so many of us are resistant to fundamental change?
The concept can be expanded from individuals to tribes, communities and societies.
Do societies eventually become self-certain and comfortable bringing about their decline? Do societies get tired or just lazy?
Is the concept of "resting on our laurels" simply another way of saying the comfort zone has been reached and "that's all folks?"
Certainly Silicon Valley has proven that those living within their own comfort zones create very little and cannot compete successfully with those that do. Without the driving edge of curiosity and an inherent disdain for the status quo comfort zone little innovation takes place.
What if Michelangelo or Thomas Edison had stayed in their respective comfort zones?
Interestingly a few realize this psychological nightmare and artificially construct challenges that will get them out of their comfort zone; the implication being that if they are comfortable and do nothing they will accomplish little.
On the lower end, motivation for change occurs when one slips from the comfort zone to areas of pain, anxiety and frustration. No motivation or change occurs until the pain threshold is passed and unfortunately the human capacity for absorbing anxiety and frustration is very high.
Then there are others that feed on challenge, exploration and the thrill of the new. The biggest risk they view in their lives is settling into their comfort zone 'black hole' and never being able to get out. When they start feeling comfortable they know something is wrong. Terribly wrong.
After a while those in their long term comfort zones have little say, learn little new and may in fact be the victims of negative brain plasticity. Anecdotally we can see this in our everyday lives; those that camp out in their comfort zones have little thinking capacity, few ideas and not much of interest to say.
This leads us to the distressing conclusion there is no cure for stupid. Potential is only realized when the individual moves out of their comfort zone.
In the end, each of us determines if there is anything good to say about being in one's own "comfort zone". But the evidence clearly points to "comfort" as an obstacle to success.

Trump 101, By the Donald

Trump 101 is an excellent book for the young and ambitious and the mature and experienced. Trump 101 is made up of about 25 short chapters which summarize Donald Trump's views on success. Mr. Trump included questions from the Trump University Blog. The q&a feature enhances Trump 101 and makes it more usable. What sort of this does the Donald have to say? He stresses the importance of learning, planning, and setting the bar higher.

I downloaded the audio version and listened to it. The price is right.

Develop a Sense of Urgency

Perhaps the most outwardly identifiable quality of a high performing man or woman is "action orientation."
Take Time to Think and PlanHighly productive people take the time to think, plan and set priorities. They then launch quickly and strongly toward their goals and objectives. They work steadily, smoothly and continuously and seem to go through enormous amounts of work in the same time period that the average person spends socializing, wasting time and working on low value activities.
Getting into "Flow"When you work on high value tasks at a high and continuous level of activity, you can actually enter into an amaz ing mental state called "flow." Almost everyone has experienced this at some time. Really successful people are those who get themselves into this state far more often than the average.
In the state of "flow," which is the highest human state of performance and productivity, something almost miraculous happens to your mind and emotions. You feel elated and clear. Everything you do seems effortless and accurate. You feel happy and energetic. You experience a tremendous sense of calm and personal effectiveness.
Become a high achiever by getting more done in less timeWouldn't you like to have more success, today? I have figured out a way to help you achieve your daily tasks in less time. With my organization skills, you can really focus on what is important in your daily work. When you separate the urgent from the important, you can plan every day in advance. Become More Alert and AwareIn the state of "flow," identified and talked about over the centuries, you actually function on a higher plane of clarity, creativity and competence. You are more sensitive and aware. Your insight and intuition functions with incredible precision. You see the interconnectedness of people and circumstances around you. You often come up with brilliant ideas and insights that enable you to move ahead even more rapidly.
Develop a Sense of UrgencyOne of the ways you can trigger this state of flow is by developing a "sense of urgency." This is an inner drive and desire to get on with the job quickly and get it done fast. This inner drive is an impatience that motivates you to get going and to keep going. A sense of urgency feels very much like racing against yourself.
Create a "Bias for Action"With this ingrained sense of urgency, you develop a "bias for action." You take action rather than talking continually about what you are going to do. You focus on specific steps you can take immediately. By employing this technique you concentrate on the things you can do right now to get the results you want and achieve the goals you desire.
Action ExercisesHere are two things you can do immediately to put these ideas into action:
First, select one major task confronting you and launch into it immediately. Don't hesitate. Move fast.
Second, start doing this every morning, first thing, until it becomes a habit.

7 High Powered Motivation Tips

(I wrote my own motivation article. Take a look at the other articles in past posts that are good too.)
So you have lofty goals but you don’t quite have enough motivation. I have seven high powered ideas that are guaranteed to help.

Read a few inspirational stories. Nothing will get you moving like reading a rags to riches success story. Try Mark Cuban’s blog or Tony Robbins’ own account of his rise to the top.

This next idea really works too. Fill up a sheet of paper with your greatest accomplishments. Go as far back as you need to, but fill up a sheet of paper with your greatest accomplishments. Review this paper before you begin your day and you will be pumped and ready to move on to new successes.

The next tip is something you hear a lot, but people never do it: MAKE A PLAN.
Make a business plan, a plan for the completion of your degree, or a plan for your life. Write and rewrite your plans until they are highly workable and detailed. Write down your goal, your deadline, the people who will help, obstacles you will have to overcome, the knowledge you will have to acquire, and the things you have to do to reach your goal.
Practice back from the future thinking. Imagine you achieved your goal, then work your way back to where you are now. Motivational speaker Brian Tracy is huge on back to the future thinking.

Next, take action. Take massive, consistent action as Tony Robbins always says. Do the most important thing you can do to move you toward your goal.

You will hit roadblocks. So what do you do? You need more motivation and some help. I have two more ideas. First, meet with your mastermind and ask for help. Your mastermind should get you absolutely on fire. Second, visualize achieving your goal. Visualize your goals in detail and be sure to feel the emotions you likely will feel when your goal is reached.
The last idea is to create a customized subliminal CD or MP3. Tailor your affirmations to your specific goals and challenges. Be creative and be sure to look at the sample affirmations at my web site.

Preparation

Many people watch opportunities pass them by throughout their lives. Opportunities to grow wealth, to get better jobs, to flourish and so on. Do you know why opportunities pass people by? Preparation. The lack of it to be more exact. It was Abraham Lincoln who said, "give me six hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe." That is the spirit of one who prepares. More time should be spent preparing for the opportunity.
Most people spend their lifetime imagining the opportunity coming their way, however they spend little or no time preparing for the opportunity. Here is a principle: Opportunity needs a docking station. That docking station is preparation.
If you are going through life without any plans for the future, then chances are you are not preparing. If you have a dream and you are not taking any actions towards that dream, you are not preparing. Preparation is the process that keeps athletes on the ball courts long after everyone else has left. Preparation is what wakes successful leaders two or more hours before the average person, to work on their goals.
What are some actions that an average person can take that can be considered preparation? Take education for example. If you have a high school diploma, then you should be working on an undergraduate degree. If you have an undergraduate degree, then you should be working on a graduate degree. Perhaps formal schooling would not benefit you. Perhaps your goal is to be a singer or a speaker. Then spend time learning how to sing or speak. Do not rely on your natural talents only. Thank God for those talents, but spend time sharpening yourself. Listen to experts in the fields you want to get into. Read books. Turn your car into a learning institution. Listen to books on CD's. All of these are examples of preparation. It is any action you are taking towards you being ready for when that time comes.
So you work full time. If you work for a company that has a tuition reimbursement plan, take advantage of it. Whatever the amount of the tuition is, it is 'more' money that the company is willing to give you to better you! I always count my annual salary, plus my bonuses and my tuition reimbursement to get a more accurate picture of what the company paid me. Tuition reimbursement is a good incentive for you to increase your marketability.
Hopefully you are working in an area that you enjoy and would like to remain in that field. If that is the case, take courses in that field. Your job is already providing you with the experience. So just add your "paper qualifications" to it. In fact, this is typically the stipulation for tuition reimbursements; It has to be job related.
When you are done with the degree or certification, you have made yourself more marketable. You have spent extra hours of your days going to school or taking courses. Now when opportunities for promotion within or outside the company comes, you will be able to confidently step up.

Becoming the Best

People, who become the best at anything, typically begin their journeys by emulating the attitudes and habits of other successful people. Here are a few of the main characteristics shared in common by those who become the best. Visit mariosalvi.com for more information.
Optimism: People who reach the top always believe things can get better, or that there's a better way to do something.
Vision: Successful people can see their futures. They know what the end results will look like when they reach their goals. Although they live in the present, they don't let themselves become stuck in the here and now. They take action everyday for the better future they envision.
Hunger for Personal Growth: No matter how successful they become, top achievers never stop moving to the next level. They hunger to be the best in every area of their lives. They constantly place themselves in situations where they can grow.
Leadership: Successful men and women expect leadership from themselves. They know they're not average followers. They always equip themselves with the skills they need to lead, and they lead others to achieve success. They make a difference in everything they do.
Legacy: Successful leaders don't merely achieve goals for themselves-although they surely enjoy the rewards of their achievements. They achieve to benefit others: family, friends, charities and their community. They choose to leave a legacy that will make the world a better place.
Helpfulness: Leaders help other people achieve their goals and dreams. When leaders help others, they understand that they're also helping themselves-that the good they put out into the world will come back to them and help them achieve what they want. They know that success does not come to someone who stands alone.
No Excuses: Even the best often fail along the way. When they do fail, they don't make excuses. They take responsibility for their actions and move on. They get back up and focus on doing it right the next time. They know that it's the actions they take repeatedly that will determine their character. They make no excuses- they just expect results.
Making failure an Ally: The best never see failure as an enemy. If they do, they'll lose the battle before it even begins. Instead, they make failure their ally. They consider failure a learning experience, and recognize that every failure brings them a step closer to success. After a failure, they use the knowledge they've gained to move forward with more energy and focus.
While others live by default, settling for a mediocre life in which they see themselves as victims of their circumstances-the best envision a better life and take the necessary action to achieve their dreams. They take risks and stare their fear of failure right in the face. The best hold onto their vision of success, and never entertain the alternative. That is how they achieve victory.
