Six Daily Habits of Highly Successful People

Have you ever wondered why some people seem to have the Midas touch while others fail no matter how hard they try or how much effort they put into something? Me too. So much so that I decided to really look into what it was that made the successful people successful and the rest, well, unsuccessful. What I learned was astonishing. There was actually a commonality in the set of daily habits, or activities, that successful people take on each and every day. It is these activities that make them successful. It gives them that "Midas Touch".
So what are these common activities?

Personal Development

At any moment we are where we are because of our best thinking. Our current situation is simply a culmination of our past thoughts and actions. If we want different results, better results, then logically it makes sense that we should start with our thinking. Evolution through personal development will have an astounding impact towards the accomplishment of one's goals
Our success is going to be predicated upon 'who we are being' more than any other factor.

Visualization of Goals

This is one of the most crucial steps in this success process. Not surprisingly, it is also one of the things that you will almost never hear about from a person who is failing.
The visualization that I am talking about here isn't merely a quick "close your eyes and think about what you want for a minute" visualization. No, this is a full, blown-out, five senses type experience. You want to bring the visualization to life. You want to see it, smell it, taste it, hear it and feel it - you want it to be real.

Why is this so important? Well, if you don't know where you are going then how in the world are you ever going to know when or if you get there? The visualization makes the experience real and the amazing thing is: Once you know the end result, the how pretty much takes care of itself.

Income Producing Activities

We can spend all day making ourselves better, aligning our thoughts with those who are where we want to be and we can visualize our wants and desires until the cows come home. BUT, unless we take some action, nothing will manifest itself.

So, what are your income producing activities? You have to think about this and it really shouldn't be that difficult. But be careful and don't fall into the trap of thinking that all the ancillary things you do are actually producing income, because they're probably not.
For me, in my business, it's simple. I generate leads. I sort those leads and get the qualified leads information and then I collect a decision. That's it. Nothing else I do is income producing. The writing, blogging, social networking, etc., those aren't putting any money in my pocket. They are fun and they might generate a lead or two but that's not why I do it and I need to keep that in perspective.

Do the things that make you money first and then get to the other stuff.

Mastermind with Other Leaders

Earlier I talked about our best thinking. What is the best way to change the way we think? It is to surround ourselves with people who are getting the results we want. By surrounding ourselves with these individuals something amazing happens. We start to model the behavior of those individuals and this is vastly different than imitating them. We start thinking like them. We start becoming them. (And remember earlier when I talked about your success being tied to who you are being...)

This masterminding can be done in various ways: conference calls, personal calls, email, etc. The important thing here is that we cease to take the advice from people who aren't getting the results we want (which are typically those closest to us) and we start modeling those who are.
You can even create a board of directors for yourself. Depending on what your desired goals is, choose people who are where you want to be. These don't even need to be people you know, or talk to. For instance, if you are looking for success in business then perhaps you'll have Donald Trump on your board. When you are confronted with a pivotal decision, think to yourself, "What would Donald do?" There's your answer and there's your mastermind.

Cultivate the Expectation of Leadership

If you want success then you better damn well be the leader. Nobody wants to follow a loser. Step-up and take on the role of leader.

Do you want to know how you become a leader? It's easier than you think... Just 'be the leader'. Make the decision to do it and take action like a leader would.

In addition to expecting leadership from yourself, you should also expect that the people you are now attracting into your life will be leaders as well. You are going somewhere; make sure that the people coming with you deserve to be there too.

Gifts & Gratitude

Let's start with gratitude. The most powerful position to operate from is that of gratitude. Why? You might ask. Well it is simply because if you are operating from a state of gratitude then you have already achieved your desired result. You are thankful for it and no longer wondering about it and wanting for it. You are thankful for the result and it has been realized. There is no doubt. There is nothing holding you back.

Now comes the point where I get a little 'new age' on you and talk about how giving opens the floodgates to receiving. Whether you want to believe it or not, there is a harmonic flow of wealth in the universe. If you horde everything you get then there is no room for whatever it is that you want. You must make room in your life for the things you want and the best way to do that is by giving.

For instance, if you want a new wardrobe then you better clean out the closet first, why not donate, or there won't be room for all those new clothes. Similarly if you have been eyeing that new luxury car but your garage is cluttered with mess, where is that going to go?

The universe knows when there is or is not room for the things you want. If you make the room, it's funny how things start to show up.

So there you have it. These are the things that you will find highly successful people doing on a daily basis.

Here's the great news. You can choose to incorporate these activities into your daily routine. Before long, they will become your daily habits and you too will find the success that you're looking for.

Multiple Streams of Income

Throughout history we have seen economies go up and down. Even today we are experiencing a major downturn in the economies throughout the world. When the world's financial condition worsens, it has a negative impact for most of us on an individual basis also. The average wage earner and small business owner starts to feel the pinch with layoffs and lower buying power and sales.

So what should we do to help hedge against an unstable economy?

One excellent tool the Wealthy have used to shield themselves from the down swings in the economy is the powerful concept of developing Multiple Streams of Income. Individuals who have learned this valuable concept...realize that even if one part of the economy is soft, there are still other avenues available for generating income.

Whether through building multiple businesses, creating something that generates royalties, or through various investment vehicles such as real estate or stocks...many of the Wealthy have built multiple assets that bring in a steady stream of income. These forward thinking individuals have truly learned how to hedge against weak economic times...and prosper enormously during the good times.

As we examine this powerful concept of creating Multiple Streams of Income, we start to realize that perhaps generating our financial resources through one income stream may not be the best plan. Many try to overcome the problems associated with a down economy by working multiple jobs but perhaps there is a better way, and easier!)

Using the power of Multiple Income Streams to both overcome a weak economy and help provide more free time to pursue all of life's other desires.

Learning how to generate income through the development of multiple assets is the best way to overcome a weak financial situation...and insure yourself a steady stream of income without the exhaustion associated with trying to work multiple jobs.

Even the highest paid professionals such as doctors and lawyers are limited in just how much income they can generate...and they are just as susceptible to a financial downturn as everyone else when there is a weak economy. The simple truth is that we can all only work so many hours in a day or week regardless of how much money we may make an hour.

On top of the added financial security it brings...having Multiple Streams of Income also allows us more free time once the income streams have been created. Once we have created multiple assets capable of generating the income we need to cover all our normal expenses to live on...we can then work on either building more assets and/or pursuing those other hobbies and passions that are important to us.

As with anything good, there is usually a price to pay...but if we do it right, we can make the whole multiple asset building process rather fun!

With all that has already been said...it's also very important to realize that some initial extra time will need to be devoted to creating these new income producing assets before we can begin to enjoy the fruits of our labors and creativity. Building a business, writing a book, finding the right investment property, or coming up with the next great invention can all take time to do. (with little or no financial returns generated during the creation process) The simple truth is that if you try to build assets that fit your own interests best...you will find the whole asset building process actually fun!

To truly enjoy the process of developing Multiple Income Streams...it's very important that we truly discover what activities interest us the most, so we can use our interest and strengths to build those powerful assets without it really feeling like work. While there will always be some aspects of the asset building process that are not as fun as others...engaging in positive actions that are related to our goal of creating Multiple Streams of Income can really be a stimulating experience.

Once our strengths and interest have been determined...it is then time to really gain as much knowledge as possible about the multiple assets we are building.

As we begin building Multiple Income Streams, and even if what we are doing is considered somewhat fun to do...it will still require some time and energy to develop the proper knowledge and skill sets necessary to be successful in our pursuits. Success in any endeavor really boils down to creating a vision of what we wish to accomplish, obtaining the knowledge and skill sets necessary to complete the task, and providing the necessary actions required to bring our vision to completion.

With that said, it is very important not to just try and build assets without gaining as much knowledge as possible concerning the asset we desire to create.

Building businesses, writing books, creating music, or inventing new things all require specific knowledge and skills to be successful. Fortunately, there is an enormous amount of valuable information available for basically any type of business venture or any other asset development projects we might want to pursue.

Stay ahead of any financial downturn with a full arsenal of assets that can provide Multiple Streams of Income...and also provide the free time to pursue all those other dreams and desires you want to achieve in life

Life really is all about living to the fullest and enjoying time with all those you love and wish to spend more time with. Developing a variety of income producing assets is an excellent way to provide the financial resources and time to truly live an Abundant Life full of wonder, excitement, and contentment.

If you truly utilize your own unique strengths and skills during the asset building process...you will find each day and activity a true adventure. You may never "work" again...and still enjoy the fruits of having multiple income producing assets working to provide Financial Freedom even during the tough times.

A Peek Inside a Mastermind

If you are thinking about joining a mastermind, read this.

When I first met my mentor, he wanted to take massive action on a business. The business he proposed was MLM. I said no way. I told him, with all he knows about alternative health, he should get into that business. My mentor helped me learn more about Internet marketing, really applying Tony Robbins' teachings, and gave me the lowdown on all the gurus. We traded audio books and knowledge. My mentor, then and now, gets me fired up and ready to take massive action.

If you join a mastermind and you are a newbie to Internet Marketing, sales, personal development, and the things you all work on, take action on what the guy tells you.
Be honest in your dealings. If you stick with your mastermind alliance, you can transform your whole life!
I posted three excellent mastermind articles to:

How I Became Wealthy

I got asked again today.
"Tony, how did you become wealthy?"
There's probably a lot of answers to that question but the answer I gave (and nearly always do) is simply this:
To become wealthy, you have to think like a wealthy person.
Every week, I talk to dozens of people who dream of becoming wealthy. They're tired of working more hours for less money. They're tired of never seeing their spouse and kids. They're tired of spending their vacation time visiting relatives and letting their kids play with their cousins.
And so they've called me to talk about becoming wealthy. And it's very easy for me to see which ones are going to actually succeed and which ones will continue to struggle.
I simply watch how they think.
For example, if someone is struggling to pay their bills and that is their REASON for why they're starting a business, that person will find a way to be successful. They're motivated. They're focused on a solution. They realize that -- if things are going to change -- it has to start with them. And they're committed to be successful.
On the other hand, if a person says "Oh, I can't get started in business, I'm too broke".....that person is already defeated. Because they are choosing to let their circumstances dictate what they can do. They will continue to use that situation as an excuse for why they can't be more successful. Which means that they are creating their own self-fulfilling prophecy.
I can usually call these people back in 6 months and they're no better off than they were when they first contacted me.
What's the difference?
It's how people THINK. This is what Napoleon Hill meant when he titled his book, "Think and Grow Rich".
Wealthy people think differently than broke people. They don't ask "can I?" They ask "how can I?"
One of my favorite authors, Ayn Rand, once said, "What do you mean who's going to let me? You mean, who is going to stop me!"
Back when Jessica and I chose to start our business, we were broke. We were living in a very small cinder-block house. We had no heat. I was earning less than $1,000 a month. We were a couple of months late on our rent. Our car broke down frequently.
But we believed things could be better. We believed there was a way we could become wealthy and start living the life we deserved.
When it came to finding the money to start our business, we could have easily said, "I don't have the money." But, what would have changed? It's not like either of us had a rich uncle who was suddenly going to remember us on his deathbed. Or that our fairy godmother was going to show up and hand us lots of money just because we wished for it.
No, we did what a lot of people do: we scraped and borrowed and did whatever we had to do. We sold things we owned. Jessica took a part-time job on a short-term basis. I did odd-jobs for a friend of mine.
And when we made the decision that we were not going to let fear or other obstacles stand in our way, things started coming together in a way that we could have never planned or predicted.
So, if the question is, "How do you become wealthy?" the answer is simply, "Start thinking like a wealthy person".
Would a billionaire every say, "No, I can't do that."? No. they say, "That's what I'm going to do" and they go find a way.
There are two kinds of people in the world: stoppable and unstoppable.
Which are you?
