Develop and license products, anything with strong demand and/or appeal. Don't stop at one!
You may need engineers to build prototypes, that's fine. But outsource as much of your business you can. Then you can design and sell more products.
Of course you'll need to achieve scale AND magnitude to have a chance of pulling this off.
