YOU Create Your Future!!

Some people say the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer. Great jobs are hard to come by. Jobs are being sent overseas. Wages for 40% of the US population are pitiful. Many people have unreal, irregular schedules which make a social life, good health, college, and time for family extremely hard. Retirement and travel are pretty much a fantasy for many.

Many people don’t feel in control of their lives. Many people waste the resources they do have on BS. Many people fill their heads with nonsense and too much entertainment.

But if you want to greatly improve the status quo, you need a plan. I can help you with your plan. Time is passing by. Develop a plan to:

- improve your standard of living, or

- escape the rat race, or

- run your own business, or

- All of the above.

I am not screwing around. It is time for you to take action and develop a real game plan. Your future is in your hands. Take responsibility. There are realistic things you can do. Sure, there are circumstances that can limit you. But make an honest attempt anyway!!

The Law of Accumulation

The Law of Accumulation: how your financial fortune accumulates slowly over time and then becomes enormous, like a snowball.

The Law of Accumulation: Every great financial achievement is an accumulation of hundreds of small efforts and sacrifices that no one ever sees or appreciates.

Develop Discipline

The achievement of financial independence will require a tremendous number of small efforts on your part. To begin the process of accumulation, you must be disciplined and persistent. You must keep at it for a long, long time. Initially, you will see very little change or difference but gradually, your efforts will begin to bear fruit. You will begin to pull ahead of your peers. Your finances will improve and your debts will disappear. Your bank account will grow and your whole life will improve.

Build Up MomentumThe first corollary of the Law of Accumulation says: "As your savings accumulate, you develop a momentum that moves you more rapidly toward your financial goals."

It is hard to get started on a program of financial accumulation, but once you do get started, you find it easier and easier to keep at it. The "momentum principle" is one of the great success secrets. This principle says that it takes tremendous energy to overcome the initial inertia and resistance to financial accumulation and get started, but once started, it takes much less energy to keep moving.

Start Slow, Finish Fast

The second corollary of the Law of Accumulation says, "By the yard it’s hard, but inch by inch, anything’s a cinch."

When you begin thinking about saving 10 or 20 percent of your earnings, you will immediately think of all kinds of reasons that it is not possible. You might be up to your neck in debt. You might be spending every single penny that you earn today just to keep afloat.
If you do find yourself in this situation, instead of saving 10 percent, begin saving just 1 percent of your earnings in a special account, which you refuse to touch.

Increase As You Go Along

This small amount will begin to add up at a rate that will surprise you. As you become comfortable with saving 1 percent, increase your savings rate to 2 percent, then 3 percent, then 4 percent and 5 percent and so on. Within a year, you will find yourself getting out of debt and saving 10 percent, 15 percent and even 20 percent of your earnings without it really affecting your lifestyle.

Action ExercisesHere are two things you can do to apply this law immediately:

First, decide upon your long-term financial goals and then resolve to work toward them one step at a time. The first steps are the hardest and you must discipline yourself to avoid backsliding into old habits.

Second, practice the law of accumulation in other parts of your life as well. Resolve to master a subject one page at a time. Lose extra pounds one ounce at a time. Learn a language one lesson at a time. The cumulative effect can be enormous.

How to Make Sure You Never Get Rich

1) Don’t get a degree. Those college students are brown nosers. You can learn all you need to know by watching TV.

2) Don’t save money. That’s for Grandma. Saving doesn’t work these days anyway.

3) Don’t have role models. That’s more brown nosing.

4) Avoid all calculated risks. The only risks worth taking are for sex, and illegal drugs.

5) Constantly complain. You know you are the ultimate authority and critic. No one is even trying.

6) Be completely apathetic. Nothing you do will matter. They hold you down.

7) Avoid goals and planning. More brown nosing. If you became successful, you wouldn’t care about poor people.

8) Act as if the government and the rich owe you. You don’t have to read any of the Constitution. That money should be given to you.

9) Have a few kids before you can support yourself. You can’t be a virgin forever. You have to have kids. You are owed, remember?

10) Hang out with losers. Ya, they mooch and steal and cause problems. But they are real!

11) Talk and think in vague terms. Say things like "real", and "the people." Never say or do anything that would make a celebrity or their drug dealer mad.

12) Procrastinate, if you think about breaking the rules above.

(Do the opposite of what is written above if you want to be rich.)

Victory Sheet

I highly recommend typing up a Victory Sheet or a list of greatest accomplishments.
Reading your victory sheet before a challenging product is an excellent idea.

Column By Mike Brescia
-----------------------
Tracking Your Progress

Even though you don't want to live in the past, it can bean invaluable tool to you.Throughout our lives, every single one of us have had timeswhere we did something great, or at least really good...someone gave us an approving glance, a promotion, a newclient. Perhaps we dated someone hot! Wedding day, givingbirth, scoring a touchdown, winning a medal. You simplyhelped someone out that needed it. These events made youfeel good.

A very effective way to put yourself into a great mood anytime you want, especially at times where exceptionalperformance is needed NOW is to create... Your victory log.

A victory log is merely a sheet of paper that you havenearby any time you need to be reminded of past successes of ANY kind. By reminding yourself about your successes, bypulling out that little sheet, you'll often be able to go onand reach down and grab your greatest performance ever evenfrom the depths of despair. Often times, you just need to beable to REMEMBER that you can do it, when your thinking isreally cloudy.

If you get depressed, pull out your Victory Log and you'll feel a whole lot better. I absolutely guarantee it. Yes,this is simple. That's why it works.

Do you think that the doers - the real winners in life - arethat much different than you? Mostly, with exceptional people, they just keep their victories just below their consciousness, so that magical confidence is right therewhen they need it.

So PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE do this exercise. Don't put itoff. If now isn't good, do it later today. It's easy. It'sfun. And you'll feel great about yourself when you're done.And... you'll have it forever.

What a great gift to yourself. Please take a few minutes and do this! This silly littlesheet of paper can pull you out of the deepest hole fasterthan anything you've ever seen.

Here's how. In the areas listed below we want to create abig list of even the tiniest successes. I often look at mylist when I'm feeling not up to a task. Hey, no one can beat their best all the time. Write down just a few words to jog the memory so that whenyou look at it, you'll know.

Many people type these outafterwards. Go back to as far as you can remember.

Even kindergarten is fair game.Learning - tests, quizzes, semester averages, awards, scholarships, I.Q., diploma. Include all grades and college.

The opposite sex - dated a "hottie," got the glance in themall, had a particularly romantic night/week/month, had 'emall after you, summer camp, phone call, poems, cards, gotwhistled at. Go back as far as you need to.Sports (even backyard sports) - touchdowns, hits, baskets, goals, blocks, double plays, great shots. Include boardgames and cards, too.

Work - promotions, sales, raises, pats on the back, contests, trips, saved money for the company, teamwork, great days, winning, solving a problem, saving a life, got elected, a finalist for the job, made the big sale, got thelisting.

Personal - convinced someone to a new way of thinking, landscaping, painting, art, cleaning the house, new clothes, great dinners, children in plays or sports, losing weight, eliminating a bad habit, building/fixing something, tuningup the car, new car day, new home, getting aletter/notification, made dinner, helped a friend.Social - kept your temper, you were elegant, gave a greatspeech, the party was a success.

Health - cholesterol is down, stopped smoking, lost weight, ran 100 yards/one mile/three miles, climbed the mountain, changed your diet, walked by the chips in the store, etc.Do this for every area of your life. I have one for kickinga 50 yard field goal. Don't you believe I'll ever forget it.Not when NFL kickers have missed 30 yarders to lose games! But even the small ones like walking by the potato chips today. That's a victory and shouldn't be discounted. Becauseyou were strong just then, and deserve recognition. No oneelse is likely to do it, so you MUST.Don't think little things are not important. They're everything -- everything.

Watch during sporting events, when a player makes a mistakeand the other team scores as a result. Momentum shifts. Why?Because after mistakes they begin focusing on what wentwrong... instantly. And the team that scored is focused on their scoring. They're pumped up. Confidence rises. You need thatconfidence, too, to do your best every day and every minute.

So focus on what you've done right, and you'll develop it.How can you do this? Your Victory Log... the fastest way in the world to buildyour confidence and increase your skills.______________What if you had the same minute-by-minute thoughts as thesuper successful? Mike Brescia has developed the ultimatemental conditioning programs that can help anyone wipe outintense fears and enjoy huge successes in all areas of life.Details at
